What is Finance?
Finance studies the transactions and value of stock, cash, shares, goods, and bonds within a company. This includes money owed, borrowed, invested, or taxed. Since all companies, even government and not for profit organizations, have some or all of these elements finance affects every single industrial sector. Rate of return on investment and gearing are crucial to a company's health. A finance analyst will usually be responsible for analyzing the organizations position and making recommendations for investment or divestment of shares for example.

The scope for employment is broad with an online finance degree. You may be interested in working for government, or you might be attracted to a position within a local company. Most finance analysts tend to specialize within a particular industry or over a particular variety of investments.
